Management Team
The Management Team meets monthly to provide information and guidance to the Director General on essential management issues, including upcoming strategic decisions.
The team is comprised of the Director General, the Deputy Director General, the Chief Operating Officer, Directors, the Senior Fellow–Advisor Research Quality Assurance, and two Country Representatives (in Africa and Asia) who serve on a six-month rotational basis.

Extended Leadership Team
The Extended Leadership Team meets bi-annually to enhance strategic planning and governance within IWMI. These meetings focus on people and culture, change management, risk management, and performance monitoring to achieve organizational goals and ensure effective, inclusive leadership.
In addition to the Management Team, the Extended Leadership Team includes Country Representatives and Country Managers, Research Group Leaders, Senior Managers, and other department heads.
