Ian Overton

Country Manager - Sri Lanka

Ian Overton is the Country Manager for Sri Lanka. His previous experience includes Chief Executive of the South Australian State Government Agency Green Industries SA, Chief Research Services Officer for Water Reseach Australia, Stream Leader for Environmental Flows and Water Values and Benefits at CSIRO in Australia and Managing Director for Mapping and Beyond Pty Ltd. Overton has worked in academia, private industry and State and Federal Governments. His experience includes environmental flows, transboundary water allocation, water utility management, floods, droughts, natural capital, circular economy, spatial information systems and modelling. He has a PhD, MBA, Graduate Certificate in Management, Bachelor of Arts Honours and a Bachelor of Science. Overton is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Affiliate Professor with the University of Adelaide Business School.
