Sander Zwart

Senior Researcher - Water and Climate Change Management & Deputy Country Representative - Ghana


Sander has worked in the private sector (WaterWatch consultancy firm – 8 years), academia (assistant professor at the University of Twente in the Netherlands – 2 years) and research for development (Africa Rice Center – 7 years). His passion is to develop applied solutions that support the development sector to accelerate their delivery and increase their success rates. He worked on low-cost participatory land and water management approaches, mapping target domains for crop varieties and technologies, impact analysis of instensification and climate change, and spatial irrigation performance analysis using remote sensing. His focus is on the African continent, notably the West African region.
