Mainstreaming Biodiversity: Sustaining People and their Livelihoods

Biodiversity is the foundation of life and integral to the complex ecosystems that underpin food security and sustainable development. Agriculture, forestry, fisheries and tourism all depend on this natural resource. Through its research IWMI seeks to highlight the importance of sustainable water management as the foundation of for healthy biodiverse landscapes.
