Country Representative - Pakistan



Muhammad Ashraf is the Country Representative, Pakistan. Ashraf has over 25 years’ experience in water resources development and management and working with national, international and intergovernmental organizations. He is the former Chairman of the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources.

Ashraf has worked extensively on the water-energy-food and climate nexus and on the development of climate resilient technologies and practices. He has over 140 publications including 58 in peer reviewed journals. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, and Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural engineering from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan.
