This year the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) will lead ten sessions at Cairo Water Week, showcasing innovative, science-based solutions to strengthen water and climate resilience across the Middle East and North Africa. From tackling water and soil salinity and advancing water accounting to scaling nature-based solutions and water reuse, IWMI’s experts will present research-driven insights that support equitable, efficient and sustainable water management. Aligned with this year’s theme, “Innovative Solutions for Climate Resilience and Water Sustainability,” IWMI’s sessions will emphasize the power of collaboration, gender inclusion and data innovation. The discussions will explore practical pathways for integrating science into policy, building capacity for a water-secure MENA and transforming local challenges into opportunities for sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
