Water Security and Climate Adaptation Water Security and Climate Adaptation in rural India (WASCA)
The Indo-German bilateral project ‘Water Security and Climate Adaptation in Rural India -II’, commissioned by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ, works with the Ministry of Rural Development and National Water Mission (Ministry of Jal Shakti), Government of India.
The project aims to align with government programs and missions for rural development, particularly Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 and Catch the Rain initiatives, thereby contributing to water security while addressing climate change.
