Enhancing Sustainable Groundwater Management in Lao PDR (ESGM)

This project aims to facilitate the sustainable development, management, and equitable use of groundwater resources in Lao PDR, ensuring access to clean and climate-resilient water to support economic growth and groundwater-dependent communities. To achieve this, it focuses on three key outcomes: improving knowledge, information, and tools related to groundwater systems; enhancing the capacity of government agencies, water professionals, and communities to manage groundwater sustainably and equitably; and strengthening coordination, with a particular emphasis on women’s leadership and inclusive decision-making. Together, these efforts will promote sustainable management, effective coordination, and stakeholder engagement, contributing to long-term groundwater security and resilience.
