Consulting Services for Support to the program of Enhancing Agricultural Sustainability in the Water-Food- Energy Nexus: Integrated Interventions

This Project will support Communities in Iraq to leverage water and energy resources strategically and sustainably through an integrated approach to enhance food security. IWMI is leading two activities: (i) Establishment of a community of practices (CoP) to drive policy change and advocacy of NbS in agriculture around the Marshes at Maysan and Diyala; and, (ii) Undertake an analysis of current policies, regulations and standards in Iraq regulating the quality of irrigation water and its reuse in agriculture and comparison with other countries to identify the prospects for safe development of NbS for ecosystems restoration/preservation and reuse in agriculture.
