Senior Regional Researcher - Agricultural Water Management Solutions


Tinashe Lindel Dirwai has expertise in the areas of water scarcity and allocation, water and irrigation management, irrigation policy, value chain analysis, water-energy-food and nexus and crop modelling. He also has experience in developing and maintaining internal and external relationships across academia, public and private sectors, civil society and communities. Dirwai has worked extensively with small scale smallholder farmers advising on water use, water governance and agricultural water management in rainfed and irrigated food production systems. He has worked extensively in east Africa and southern Africa and holds a Doctor of philosophy in Irrigation engineering.
