National Researcher - Social-Political Scientist


Souphalack currently works in cooperation with government partners on advocating for evidence-based research for policy engagements, through research and stakeholder consultation platforms. He also leads a secretariat team of semi-annual stakeholder forums of the sub-sector working group on irrigation in Lao PDR. Prior to the research career with IWMI, Souphalack had experience in implementing development projects on agribusiness and nutrition sensitive agriculture, with different international organizations. He has experience working in the community, national and regional level, with different sectoral stakeholders, i.e. agriculture, health and commerce.
