Shweta Yadav

National Researcher – Water Quality and Waste Management


Shweta Yadav has over 10 years of international research experience extensively in the field of water resources in countries like India, Thailand, Japan and China. She was involved in a variety of international and national level research projects on water quality (inland and coastal waters), modeling, nature-based solutions, hydrology, GIS and remote sensing applications in water, and circular economy. Yadav also has several international publications.

Previously, she was working at National Institute of Hydrology, India (Ministry of Jal Shakti & Ganga Rejuvenation) for innovative nature-based solution and resource recovery in India. Yadav also worked at Climate Technology Centre and Network – UN Environment Programme project for climate technologies in water sector in Thailand. In Thailand, she was involved in hydrologic modelling and water quality monitoring of the Mun River Basin in South-East Asia funded by Royal Thai Government. Yadav focused on remote sensing and GIS of inland water quality and aquatic macrophyte at Kyoto University, Japan supported by Government of Japan, as well.
