Sarah Appiah
Senior Research Officer - Social Scientist
Sarah Appiah is the IWMI Ghana coordinator for the CGIAR Initiative on Aquatic Foods. Before IWMI, she worked with Delink Services, a private research consortium in Ghana, Lancaster Environment Center, University of Lancaster, UK, International Women in Seafood Industry and Duke University SETI funded project on Political Economy of Gender mainstreaming in ECOWAS member countries, leading the Sierra Leone case study as a PhD collaborator. Appiah served as the Ghana Gender Advisor for the FAO Illuminating Hidden Harvest (IHH) Gender Team. She is a Doctor of philosophy candidate in Development economics and holds an Master of philosophy in Economics from the University of Ghana.
