Rashani Perera is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and an accomplished corporate governance professional with over 10 years of experience in legal practice, corporate secretarial work and institutional governance. Her professional experience spans public institutions, international organizations, listed companies, and financial institutions, where she has managed board processes, statutory and regulatory compliance, corporate governance frameworks and stakeholder engagement. Perera regularly liaises with regulators, ministries, treasury-linked entities and oversight bodies in governance-intensive environments.

Perera serves as a Board Secretary, providing strategic support on governance, compliance, policy formulation and regulatory matters. She holds a Bachelor of laws, a Master of laws and has completed a second master’s degree in public administration and management, strengthening her expertise in public sector administration, institutional governance and policy implementation. Currently, Perera is reading for a Master of philosophy, with a strong academic and research interest in governance, technology, artificial Intelligence and regulatory frameworks.
