Before joining IWMI, Idil was based in Tanzania as an independent consultant contributing to developing the agriculture sector strategies and policy frameworks for the private sector and value chain development in projects funded by the EU and FCDO in Tanzania. Idil has a Ph.D. in Political Science from King’s College London and Humboldt University Berlin, and a master’s in Integrated Natural Resources Management.
