Fitsum Hagos

Social Science - Economist


Prior to joining IWMI, Fitsum was an Assistant Professor at Mekelle University in Ethiopia. He has worked extensively in East Africa, having served as Advisor to the Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Electricity and Think Tank for the regional government of Tigray. Fitsum authored and co-authored 50 publications, 38 of them peer reviewed articles and book chapters. He has supervised and co-supervised 20 MSC and PhD students.
