Amjad Jamal

Communications Specialist

An accomplished communications professional with over 25 years of experience spanning across the development, humanitarian, government, and private sectors. Since June 2021, I have been working as a Communications Specialist for the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in Pakistan. In this role, I lead the implementation of communication strategies for high-profile projects, including USAID’s Water Management for Enhanced Productivity (WMfEP) and the FCDO-funded Water Resource Accountability in Pakistan (WRAP) program. I focus on developing engaging media content, managing branding and outreach activities, and building strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, media, journalists, civil society, and donors. I specialize in visual communication strategy, project management, community mobilization, creative problem-solving, and team leadership. I also have extensive experience producing multimedia materials, including videos, social media content, press releases, and success stories. My work contributes to enhancing the visibility of IWMI’s initiatives in Pakistan. Additionally, I have a strong background in donor relations, government engagement, and crisis communications, having worked with USAID-funded projects, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), and other international organizations.
