Ahmed Masoud

Postdoctoral Fellow - Water-Conflict and Resilience


Ahmed Masoud is a postdoctoral researcher specializing in water management, climate resilience, and nature-based solutions, with a strong background in wastewater treatment and the use of constructed wetlands. He holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Brescia, Italy, where his research focused on integrating nature-based solutions and constructed wetlands with sustainable sanitation and water management. Masoud has more than eight years of experience working with international NGOs, including in camp settings and host communities in Jordan and in the MENA region. His most recent role was as a coordinator for the Global WASH Cluster. Alongside his academic work, Masoud has implemented pilot projects using constructed wetlands for greywater treatment, integrating both research and practical applications in his contributions to the field.
