2026 UN Biodiversity Conference (COP 17)

The 2026 United Nations Biodiversity Conference (COP17) will review the collective progress of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Frameworks, seeking to halt biodiversity loss by 2030. The conference will convene the seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, the twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety and the sixth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization.
