IWMI-Tata Water Policy Program

The IWMI-Tata Water Policy Research Program (also known as ITP) is a long-standing partnership between IWMI and Tata Trusts. The action-oriented policy research program operates with the credo of “converting science into policy action.” It includes activities aimed at enhancing and maximizing the development impact and effectiveness of water, energy and agriculture-based livelihood interventions. Key program activities include evidence-based field research; technical backstopping for design and implementation of field experiments and action research pilots; capacity building for Tata Trusts’ program teams; and activities to inform, influence and inspire state and national-level programs and policies in the water-energy-food-climate-livelihoods space.
