Emmanuel Attoh

Researcher - Climate Adaptation Specialist


Emmanuel worked at Wageningen University and Research (WUR) in the Netherlands where he conducted research, supervised and lectured (under)graduate students in climate information services and climate risk assessment and management. He served as a Research Partner at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona Spain, conducting a global study on Local Indicators of Climate Change Impacts (LICCI). He also served as a Research Fellow focused on water resources and climate resilience at the Regional Water & Environmental Sanitation Centre (RWESCK), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He worked as a Research Officer and Consultant at MDF Training & Consultancy, West Africa Office in Ghana. Emmanuel has a PhD in climate and environmental science at WUR where he developed a novel approach to integrate indigenous and scientific forecasts data and knowledge to enhance climate information services for adaptive water management and food production. He has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He has work experience in Africa and Europe and is now based in Sri Lanka, South Asia.
