DESCRIPTION:Groundwater: From Theory to Action being the main theme\, this 
 biennial conference aims to bring together students\, academics\, speciali
 sts and decision-makers to discuss and showcase groundwater and related ac
 tivities. Building on past conferences\, this conference aims to highlight
  the issue of improving the uptake of existing knowledge and experiences t
 o assist in solving environmental and societal problems. South Africa is w
 ell endowed with good legislation\, policies and strategies. However\, som
 e of these are not fully implemented and there is a real need for stakehol
 ders\, at all levels\, to use and enforce these.\n\n\nThis conference will
  aim to demonstrate these excellent resources and how South Africa can bec
