The Hydro4U Project, funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme, enhances water resilience in Central Asia by promoting small-scale hydropower (SHP) solutions that address the region’s water scarcity and energy security challenges. By encouraging collaborative management of shared water resources and implementing climate-resilient technologies, the project not only alleviates tensions between upstream and downstream countries but also supports sustainable water management practices that can adapt to future climate variability.
